What in the world!!!

So Ron went into work the other day and they had fired one of the machinests for horseplay. He had been warned several times so of course there wasn't much they could do. But..that meant that until they hired someone else, poor old Dad has to work graveyard! So I am missing him, but most of all keep him in your prayers as his body has a hard time changing from day to night. What a good man I married. He will just do what ever it takes to take care of his family! He is a true man!

Sunset...Ahhh

I have been sick for days with this awful sinus...chest stuff. It has also been raining for days, so tonight Ron wanted to go for a drive and the sunset was magnificent! It just reminds me over and over how much God loves us. As we sat out at the Golf Course watching it set, we noticed the rain heading our way from the south and there appeared a full double rainbow! Being a nature lover, for me this is a tender mercy... and again I am grateful.

Never Forget!!

We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain, that this nation under God shall have a new birth of Freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, for the people shall not perish from the Earth. Abraham Lincoln (Gettysburg address)

Cherish your dreams, hold tight to your ideals, march boldly to the music only you can hear. Great lives are built by moving forward, never by looking back. Even in our darkest moments, Americans have always had hope. By remembering our history, holding on to our values and supporting each other, we have found the strength to face any struggle thrown our way.

One man with courage makes a majority!
--Andrew Jackson

INDIVISIBLE,
with Liberty and Justice for all

Skate Weekend!

Jake had planned his big skate event for this weekend and unfortunantly the skate park got vandalized and they had to cancel the event....but all the kids were here and we had fun anyway. Alan was out for a visit but he had to leave on Thursday. Josh and Amanda were also here. Sarah took these pictures on the Skate day of Josh and the kids.

You will have to check out her blog for more pictures!

Poor Dad!

In January Joleen and I had just left on a genealogy trip, when Ron came in from the snow and slipped and fell down the concrete basement steps. He has been suffering ever since. The doctor drained his elbow several times but finally they decided to do surgery and so for 3 weeks he has been all bound up. It is amazing the things you can't do without a hand. I have found myself missing all the things he just does. He is so naturally helpful. He just got his splint off this week and we hope it will take care of the problem. They removed sveral bone chips and hardened cartlidge.

It has been so nice to have that arm around me again!
