Jason really wanted some of Grandpa's icecream.
The Jake Doan family loves icecream too. Look at Misty she is due in about 3 weeks!
Here is Katie...also with her icecream. We figure 1 batch feeds about 10 of us so there wasn't any leftovers:(

I apologize for not blogging in a while. I feel like I have been on a roller coaster ride. We have Spenser (my nephew) staying with us for a while and life has taken a new turn. I love mothering and taking care of someone and I have made more cookies and bread in the past month than I have in years. It has been a joy to have him here.
Yesterday I got to go to Nauvoo to see Alan. He brought his SIFE group to Nauvoo as it is something they will probably never get the chance to do again. It was so amazing to see those young people who are from countries we have never heard the names of. We got to go through the temple together and that was truly an emotional experience for me. On that same weekend Caleb Galbraith and Erin Simpson were married in the Temple. What a weekend! Spenser and Keenan hung out and camped out and had a ball.
I love this time of year we are gardening and spending a lot of time outside. Everything looks so beautiful. We had a wonderful mothers day at Natalie's house. I am so thankful for the mothers my daughters have become. I am also thankful for the mothers my daughters in law are. I am grateful for my own mother and the Grandmothers in my life. I feel very blessed.
Happy Sabbath!
