"If you observe a really happy man you will find him building a boat, writing a symphony, educating his son, growing double dahlias in his garden, or looking for dinosaur eggs in the Gobi desert. He will not be searching for happiness as if it were a collar button that has rolled under the radiator. He will not be striving for it as a goal in itself. He will have become aware that he is happy in the course of living life twenty-four crowded hours of the day." ~W. Beran Wolfe

I love to go on Seth's Aunt Jan's blog. She is so inspiring and I thought since Misty posted a thought I would post one too. Jan had this on her blog and I just love this thought. And when I am busy, deeply involved in something that speaks to my soul, doing things for others, spending time with loved ones or just working at home is when I am happiest.

Happiness is to be found in the doing, not in the searching. I'm so busy doing, especially this week and next. My twenty-four hour days are crowded. And it makes me happy.

Honey Mustard

Tonight I made chicken strips and looked on the internet for a recipe for honey mustard...I found a zillion of them. Rather than try them all I wondered if any one has a good recipe for Honey Mustard. Thanks for the help!

Today is Sunday and I am in the pondering mood. This last week has been so fun. Hillary was here with her girls. In a few months we will have to add a boy to that! Yeah! One of the days she was here the girls came over and to get the kids to play outside and leave us free to talk, I took out all my costume stuff and let the kids play. So as the afternoon wore on, the kids had put together a play for us. Actually it was more of a variety show. As I sat in my lawn chair with my girls around me I was taken back to when I was a young mom watching them. There was generally batons, and tutu's involved and a microphone or two. Those were the days. So I look up at my grandchildren and enjoy the second generation of porch talent in our family. I hope Sarah posts some pictures as I am still camera shy. I really wish we had a video recorder as there were moments that would make great black mail material. (Dance Jenna dance!)
Then on Saturday night we went to see Katie in "The King and I"! It was wonderful. I had been to the dress rehearsal on Thursday and truthfully I was not looking forward to the play on Saturday...but they really pulled it out and it was wonderful. Katie did such a good job. Sarah was on the sound and she did a good job too. Well I guess that is it for now. Love you all

I'm still here!

Hey Family...
Everyone keeps telling me to blog, but I feel so silly without a camera. I like to blog a picture, (a picture says a thousand words you know) and just put a comment out about it. But today I am sitting at work and it is so slow I thought I would blog. I am filling in today at the Far West Store. It is the most lovely and peaceful place. I love Far West. It is why I am here. I spent the last week down at Hillary's. It was fun to be kidnapped and wonderful to be there with her family. We had lots of fun (except for the wild blackberry picking), I'll do a sleep over any time.!We had a tire blow out on the way home and that was pretty scary, but I am so thankful my husband can take care of those things.
This week has been filled up with working at the store and doing costuming for the King and I. It has been fun to remember how much I love doing this. I am fast, so they are wowing over me all the time. It has given allot of confidence back that I didn't know I had lost. I have really enjoyed it.
The little kitty that Spenser adopted is now living at the neighbors. They are home and we are not.
Our garden is just not doing very well. We planted it in raised beds and I just don't think there is enough nutrition in the soil. Seth's is doing wonderful so hopeful we can eat out of his.
Our house is back off the market and all the kids are glad. This is just a bad time for selling so I guess we are here a little longer.
I guess that is about all Dad and I are fine and happy as usual.
